Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field.

A Master’s Degree (MBA) in Sales, Marketing, or IT is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Work Experience

3-5 years of experience in B2B software sales or SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solutions. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

Experience in CRM, ERP, or industry-specific software sales (if applicable to the product domain).

Languages to be known – English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil.

Skills and Competencies

a. Sales and Business Development Skills

  • Strong ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities
  • Expertise in preparing and delivering compelling sales pitches, demos, and presentations.
  • Negotiation and contract management skills to close deals effectively. 

b. Technical Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of the software being sold, such as:
    • Features, benefits, and use cases.
    • Integration capabilities with existing systems.
  • Ability to explain technical software features in layman’s terms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, databases, or IT infrastructure is a plus.

c. Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication. 
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. 
  • Active listening skills to understand client pain points. 

d. Analytical Skills

  • Ability to analyze client needs and map them to software features. 
  • Experience in using data-driven insights to tailor sales strategies. 

e. Team Collaboration

  • Experience working closely with marketing, technical teams, and account managers.
  • Ability to coordinate with pre-sales engineers and support teams. 

Tools and Technology Proficiency

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics). Proficiency in sales tools like HubSpot, SalesLoft, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator. 
  • Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and  presentation software.

Certifications (Optional)

  • Certifications in sales methodologies like SPIN Selling, Solution Selling, or Challenger Sales.
  •  Software-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Professional, SAP Sales Certification). 

KPIs to Measure Suitability

  • Sales conversion rates and quota attainment in previous roles. 
  • Pipeline management efficiency. 
  • Feedback or testimonials from past clients and colleagues.
